Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Kindness Day - 6 November 2025
Harbord Public School makes a Rainbow for World Kindness.
What an amazing day was had on Thursday Nov 6th! Students came adorned in block colours of the rainbow, a gold coin in hand and raised a total of $1391.30 for Bear Cottage. The Student Representative Council enjoyed a day where they could see students from all grades, unite and share in the pure joy of the event, creating colour and happiness across the school playground and classrooms. Smiles were brighter, laughter was sweet and students met people from various grades that they otherwise wouldn’t have connected with, complimenting each other on their outstanding outfits along the way.
Book Week Parade - 25 August 2025
Book Week is a special event at our school that celebrates a love of reading.
There’s something special about seeing our students’ faces light up as they bring their favourite stories to life (and maybe a little joy in spotting a few secret teacher costumes too).
All in all it was a day filled with fun, laughter, and a little bit of magic. We’re already counting down the days until next year’s parade because, let’s be honest, who can resist an excuse to dress up and dance in the sunshine?
100 Days of Kindergarten - 30 July 2025
Kindergarten celebrated 100 days of Kindergarten. This is a celebration marking the 100th day of school. It's a milestone where students and teachers reflect on the learning and growth achieved in the first half of the school year.
It was wonderful to see our students dress up to represent 100 in so many ways. Thank you to our amazing Kindergarten teachers who not only looked stunning as 100 year olds, but also planned a fun day filled with so many activities based around the number.
“Harbord PS has given my child a place where they feel safe, supported and excited to learn every day. We couldn’t imagine a better school community to be part of.” — a parent of Harbord Public School
