Harbord Public School was one of the first schools to benefit from the NSW Government’s initiative to invest $6.7 billion to build and upgrade 190 schools. We are very proud of our new building and the learning opportunities it offers our students. In the last couple of years numerous schools, both public and private, have asked to have a tour and watch lessons in progress.
The building accommodates about 500 students in years 3, 5 and 6. The design of the open classrooms reflects the learning style required to adapt to and thrive in a world which is fast-moving, connected and technology-driven. The flexible spaces encourage innovation, enquiry and collaboration as students learn to solve problems across all the key learning areas.
Teachers enjoy the ability to team-teach in the open-plan facilities
Flexible working styles. Children can even write on the tables!
