Multiplying is fun!

Over the past two weeks all Kindergarten classes have had the not so dusty Mrs Tickle introduce the topic, multiplication, through storytelling.

The students were all engaged as Mrs Tickle read, One is a Snail, Ten is a Crab and then watched eagerly as her artist drawing skills unfolded.  Mrs Tickle showed the students how to illustrate making groups, use problem solving skills and construct a number sentence. The lesson allowed for creativity, as well as providing the opportunity for all students to think more flexibly about numbers.
