Every year the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) has an annual presentation for Fellowships and leadership awards. It is through these awards that ACEL NSW honours educational leaders who have made a significant contribution to education, educational leadership and the improvement of child or student learning outcomes, teacher professional practice and/or effectiveness.
This year, we were honoured to hear that our Principal, Susan Tickle, was nominated for and awarded with the ACEL NSW Leadership Award. To celebrate this event, the awards ceremony was conducted via Zoom. Susan was presented with her leadership award with a few of her past and present colleagues present. Susan’s passion for education is clearly evident. Coupled with her motivation to see growth in every student. To see her efforts and expertise in this area celebrated and acknowledged is very rewarding. We are lucky to have her and grateful for what she does for teachers, students and the community.
